The Honeymoon

This is the trip where you finally stop checking work email. Six days of adults-only resorts, private boats, couples spa time, and dinners where the only thing louder than the waves is how good the octopus is. Cabo does honeymoon right when you skip the party boats and lean into the slow mornings and long sunsets.

  1. Day 1

    Arrival & Settle In

    Afternoon

Land at SJD, grab a private transfer, and head straight to your adults-only resort. Check in, unpack, and don't set an alarm for tomorrow.

    Evening

Keep it low-key tonight — order room service or hit the resort restaurant. You've got five more days to explore; tonight is about decompressing and watching the sun drop into the Pacific from your terrace.

  2. Day 2

Private Sail & First Dinner Out

    Morning

Sleep in, have a slow breakfast by the pool, maybe book a couples massage for later in the week. This is a vacation, not a race.

    Afternoon

Board a private catamaran or sailboat for a sunset cruise — just the two of you, open bar, and a crew that knows when to disappear. Sail past the Arch, anchor somewhere quiet, and let the light do the work.

    Evening

Head into San José del Cabo's art district for dinner at a small table on a cobblestone street. The galleries stay open late on Thursdays if you time it right.

  3. Day 3

    Spa Morning & Beach Afternoon

    Morning

Book a couples treatment at your resort spa — something long, oceanfront, with zero reason to rush. Scrubs, wraps, massage, the works.

    Afternoon

Post-spa, claim two loungers on the beach and do absolutely nothing. Read half a chapter, nap, repeat. If you're feeling ambitious, snorkel at Chileno Bay — it's a short drive and the water is calm and clear.

    Evening

Dinner at the resort tonight, or walk to a nearby spot if you're staying along the Corridor. Keep it easy.

  4. Day 4

The Splurge: Private Yacht to Lover's Beach

    Morning

Charter a private yacht for the morning — captain, chef, open bar, and a route that includes the Arch, Lover's Beach, and a snorkel stop at Pelican Rock. This is the one day you spend real money and don't think twice.

    Afternoon

Back on land by early afternoon. Rinse off, change, and head into Cabo San Lucas for a late lunch at a spot on the marina — something with ceviche and cold beer.

    Evening

Take it easy tonight. Walk the marina, grab a drink, head back to the resort before the party crowds show up.

  5. Day 5

    Todos Santos & Pacific Sunsets

    Morning

Rent a car or book a private driver and head north to Todos Santos. It's an hour up the Pacific coast — art galleries, surf shops, and the famous Hotel California. Poke around, grab lunch at a taco stand, and don't skip the local coffee.

    Afternoon

Stop at Cerritos Beach on the way back if the waves are small — it's one of the few Pacific beaches where you can actually swim. Otherwise, just pull over for the view and keep driving.

    Evening

Back to the resort for your last full evening. Book the best table at the resort's nicest restaurant, order the tasting menu, and don't look at the check until tomorrow.

  6. Day 6

    Last Morning, Slow Departure

    Morning

One last breakfast by the pool, one last swim, one last hour with nothing on the schedule. Pack slowly.

    Afternoon

Depending on your flight time, grab lunch in San José or at the resort, then head to the airport. You're allowed to be quiet on the drive — this one's going to be hard to top.

Know before you go

  • Book your private boat and spa appointments before you land — honeymoon season fills fast, especially January through April.
  • Adults-only resorts along the Corridor (Pacifica, Le Blanc, Paradisus) are worth the premium if you want zero kids and full quiet.
  • San José del Cabo is where you'll find the best non-resort dining — the art district between Morelos and Obregón is the move.
  • If you're renting a car for Todos Santos, get it delivered to your resort in the morning and return it that evening to avoid multi-day charges.
  • Sunset cruises book up fast in high season; aim for private or small-group options to avoid the open-bar cattle calls.
  • The Pacific side has big surf and strong currents — stick to Médano Beach or the Corridor coves if you want to actually swim.
  • Tipping in Cabo runs 15–20% at restaurants and $5–10 per service for hotel staff, boat crews, and drivers.
  • Check-out is usually 11 a.m. or noon; if your flight is late afternoon, ask your resort about late checkout or day-use pool access while you wait.
