How much does a Cabo trip cost in 2026?

Real 2026 numbers for a budget, mid-range and splurge Cabo trip — 4 and 7 nights, line by line, from flights to tips.

By The One Happy Aruba Team · Updated Sep 30, 2026 · How we know

Bottom line: For a couple, a 7-night Cabo trip lands around US$2,400 on a tight budget, US$4,800 mid-range at a good all-inclusive with a few tours, and US$11,000-plus if you're at Le Blanc with a fishing charter and a private SUV. Four nights runs roughly US$1,700, US$3,200 and US$7,500. The resort is the line that moves the total; everything else is a rounding error by comparison.

The three tiers, per couple

Tier4 nights7 nightsWhat it looks like
Budget~US$1,700~US$2,400Hostel or basic hotel in town, tacos and grocery runs, one or two cheap group tours, shared shuttle
Mid-range~US$3,200~US$4,800A ~$350–400/night all-inclusive, whale watching and a sailing day, private transfer
Splurge~US$7,500~US$11,200Le Blanc or a ~$550/night Land's End suite, a fishing charter, spa, UTVs, an Escalade at the curb

Two caveats before the line items. First, flights: we don't have fare data in our system yet, so the airfare lines below are working assumptions for a couple flying from the western U.S. in shoulder season. Swap in your own number from the getting there guide; East Coast and holiday fares can double the line. Second, resort rates are "from" prices averaged across the year. A February or Christmas-week stay at the same property can run 50–100% more; a September stay can run far less.

Budget: ~US$1,700 for 4 nights, ~US$2,400 for 7

Cabo isn't a natural budget destination, but a couple who doesn't need a pool can do it cheaply, mostly by staying in San José del Cabo or the back streets of Cabo San Lucas and eating where the locals eat.

  • Flights: ~US$700 for two (assumption; see above).
  • Lodging: Sofia Hostel Cabo is about US$50 a night in Cabo San Lucas; the VW Bus Hostel & Eco Campground in San José is about US$75 for a genuinely fun night; OYO Hotel Aeropuerto is a ~US$150 basic room near the airport. Call it US$100 a night blended: US$400 for four nights, US$700 for seven.
  • Food and drink: US$60 a day for two if you're doing taco stands, a market breakfast and one sit-down dinner in pesos: US$240 / US$420. Paying in pesos instead of dollars saves you 5–15% on every bill, which matters most in this tier.
  • Activities: The Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch is US$75 a head with lunch included (rating 4.9, nearly 6,000 reviews) and the Cabo Blue Trimaran Sailing Boat is US$75 for 2.5 hours on the water. One tour on a 4-night trip (US$150), both on a week (US$300). A water taxi to the Arch and Playa del Amor from the marina is a cheap add-on if you haggle.
  • Transfers: Shared shuttle, US$20–25 a person each way: ~US$100 for two round trip.
  • Tips: US$60 / US$100. Restaurant tips at 15–20% are already inside the food line; this is for boat crews and the shuttle driver.
  • Extras: US$50 / US$80 for sunscreen, a souvenir and the inevitable ATM fee.

Total: about US$1,700 and US$2,400. The hidden cost in this tier is transport within Cabo; taxis add up fast, so pick one town and stay in it.

Mid-range: ~US$3,200 for 4 nights, ~US$4,800 for 7

This is where most couples land, and where the all-inclusive question decides the food line. The Corridor has 8 all-inclusives among its 29 properties; Cabo San Lucas has 4 among 66.

Total: about US$3,200 and US$4,800.

Splurge: ~US$7,500 for 4 nights, ~US$11,200 for 7

Total: about US$7,500 and US$11,200. The ceiling is much higher if you swap the fishing boat for a yacht charter.

Where the tiers really differ

Lodging is 25% of the budget trip and 55% of the splurge one. Activities cost roughly the same across all three tiers per tour (a US$75 ATV ride is US$75 whether you sleep at a hostel or Le Blanc); what changes is how many you book and whether you add a US$400 charter. Food swings most if you're not all-inclusive: a couple can eat for US$60 a day in pesos or US$250 a day at resort restaurants priced in dollars. Transfers and tips barely move: the gap between shared shuttle and Escalade is US$100 for the whole trip.

Where to save without regret

  • Go in the shoulder. Post-Easter April, May, June and early December carry near-peak weather at lower rates. November before Thanksgiving may be the best value-to-weather month of the year. Skip August and September unless you're chasing the deepest discounts and are fine with hurricane-season gambles.
  • Pay in pesos. 5–15% off every bill outside the resort, and decline the dollar option on card terminals.
  • Skip the taxi from the airport. US$80–100 versus a pre-booked private car at US$75–110 for the same ride, or US$20–25 a head shared. Details in getting around.
  • Don't rent a car for a Corridor all-inclusive stay. US$30–70 a day all-in for a car that sits in the lot. Rent for one day if you want Todos Santos.
  • Book the highest-reviewed version of the cheap tour, not the cheapest tour. The US$75 ATV and the US$75 trimaran both sit at 4.8–4.9 across thousands of reviews. The US$40 desk-sold version of the same thing is where the regrets live.
  • Do not save on the resort by moving to a cheaper area you didn't want. East Cape lodging averages a 4.09 rating across 13 properties versus 4.85 in Cabo San Lucas; it's wonderful for the right traveler and a long, partly dirt drive for everyone else.
