Cabo Pulmo National Park is a water activity rated 5.0/5 by 1 TripAdvisor reviewers; from about $150 per person; lasts 8 hours.

About

Cabo Pulmo National Park is a marine reserve on the East Cape, about 60 miles north of San José del Cabo. The reef system here is one of the oldest in the Pacific, and the park status means no fishing — which is why the underwater density rivals anywhere in the Sea of Cortez. Visibility runs 30 to 60 feet most of the year, and you'll see schools of jacks that look like storm clouds, plus rays, grouper, and seasonal bulls if the timing's right. Most operators run snorkel and dive trips out of the village. The road in is unpaved for the last stretch, so count on an hour-plus drive each way from the Corridor. There's minimal infrastructure once you arrive — a few dive shops, basic lodging, no resorts. It's worth the trip if you're comfortable in the water and want to see what a protected reef actually looks like.
