About

El Farallon is tucked into the rocks at the base of the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas, accessible by a tunnel through the mountain and then a staircase down to the water. The 4.9 atmosphere rating makes sense the second you see it—tables sit on natural stone terraces directly over the Pacific, waves breaking underneath during dinner service. The kitchen runs a seafood-forward fine dining menu, and the 4.8 service score tracks with the Waldorf standard. Food scores a 4.6 across 3,000+ reviews, which is consistently strong for this price tier. Value comes in at 4.2, so expect to pay for the location and the occasion. Reservations are necessary, especially if you want a table at the edge. Sunset timing matters here more than at most restaurants—arrive early enough to catch the light on the rocks, or you're eating in the dark with a spotlight on the surf.

Tours & things to do nearby

Arch of Cabo San Lucas

The Arch sits at the southern tip of the Baja peninsula, where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. You reach it by water taxi from the marina or Médano Beach — most people do a quick loop, snap photos, and head back. The 4.8 rating across nearly 9,000 reviews reflects what it is: a reliable postcard moment, no tricks. The rock formation marks Land's End, and depending on the tide, you'll see sea lion colonies on the rocks and sometimes pelicans stacked on the outcroppings. Water taxis run constantly during daylight hours, and some will drop you at Lover's Beach on the Cortez side if you want to wade. The Pacific side (Divorce Beach) has a serious undertow — people look, they don't swim. It's the thing everyone does once. Go early or late to dodge the midday boat clusters. The ride out takes ten minutes, you get your shot, and you're done. If you skip it, you'll end up seeing it from every other boat trip anyway.

Blue Sky Cabo Fishing and Tours

Blue Sky Cabo Fishing and Tours operates from F Dock in the Cabo San Lucas marina, and the 5 out of 5 rating across nearly 6,000 reviews puts them in rare territory. Most charter operations in Cabo cluster around 4.5 stars — this one doesn't. The volume matters as much as the score. Five thousand reviews means hundreds of boats went out, came back, and enough people felt compelled to say something that the average held. That's consistency at scale, which is harder to fake than a handful of perfect scores. Whether it's the crew, the boat condition, or how they handle rough days, something's working. They run fishing charters and tours from the marina, which is the standard launching point for anything heading into the Sea of Cortez or around the arch. If you're comparing operators, this is one where the data actually separates from the pack.

All Ways Cabo Transportation

All Ways Cabo Transportation runs airport pickups and private transfers around the Los Cabos corridor. The 5-star rating across more than 4,300 reviews suggests consistent execution on something simple: drivers show up on time, vehicles are clean, and you don't haggle at baggage claim. They're based in El Tezal, just inland from Cabo San Lucas, which keeps them close to the airport run. The volume of feedback points to reliable logistics — useful when you're coordinating flights, resort check-ins, or day trips between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Private transport here cuts out the shuttle wait and the shared-van detours. You book in advance, someone meets you with a sign, and you're moving. If your group has gear, golf clubs, or you're just not interested in figuring out taxi rates after a flight, this is the straightforward option.

Low confidence

Travelers say El Farallon delivers a spectacular cliffside setting with tables perched directly over crashing Pacific waves—the sunset timing matters, with 6:30pm reservations catching the best light. Service stands out across dozens of mentions, particularly servers David, Carmen, and Abraham who explain dishes in detail and personalize anniversary celebrations. The seafood earns consistent praise, especially Baja oysters, red snapper, and the seafood platter appetizer, though portion sizes run large with mains including four courses. Expect to pay premium prices—wine markups reach 625% and entrees around $100—but most feel the once-in-a-lifetime setting justifies the cost.

Request a rail table at booking if you want to be right over the water

Maybe skip if: Budget-conscious diners or those prioritizing food innovation over setting should skip—you're paying primarily for the cliffside location and service experience, not groundbreaking cuisine.

Lorenzillo's Restaurant Cabo San Lucas

Lorenzillo's sits right over the marina in Cabo San Lucas, with tables that look out on the boat traffic and the arch beyond. It's been a fine-dining anchor here for years, built around whole live lobster — you pick from the tank, they weigh it, you pay by the kilo. The 4.6 rating across nearly 4,000 reviews holds up mostly on service and setting; the food score is lower, which tracks with what you'd expect from a tourist-facing seafood house that moves volume. The atmosphere and staff execution are where it justifies the price tier, not the kitchen innovation. If you want a celebratory dinner with a view and you're comfortable with the formula, it delivers that. Just know the value subrating is the lowest of the four, so set expectations accordingly. Reservations help during high season.

Sunset Monalisa

Sunset Monalisa sits on the Pacific cliffs in the Misiones del Cabo area of Cabo San Lucas, and the 4.9 atmosphere score tells you why people come — the view is the menu's co-star. The food holds its own at 4.5, and the kitchen takes fine dining seriously without the usual resort-town corner-cutting. Service runs tight at 4.7, which matters when you're paying fine-dining prices and the place is pulling over eight thousand reviews. The value rating sits at 4.3, which is honest — you're paying for the location and the execution, not for a deal. But the overall 4.8 across that volume of feedback means they're consistent, and consistency at this level in Cabo isn't common. If you're going to do one splurge dinner with a view, this is the reliable play. Reservations move, especially near sunset. The road up is narrow and the parking is tight, so plan the arrival.

Mamazzita Cabo has the perfect ambiance for an unforgettable dining experience in Los Cabos. Our restaurant combines a chic, modern setting with warm, inviting decor, making it one of the top places to eat in Cabo.

Mamazzita Cabo - Mexican Restaurant

Mamazzita sits right on Playa El Médano in Cabo San Lucas, close enough to the water that you can watch the jet skis come and go between courses. The 4.9 overall rating holds across the board — food, service, atmosphere all land at or near perfect, which is rare for a beachfront fine-dining spot where people usually forgive one of the three. The kitchen runs upscale Mexican, and the value score suggests they're not gouging you for the sand view. Fine dining on Médano can mean either tourists in resort wear or locals celebrating something, and Mamazzita pulls both. Service is consistently fast-tracked in reviews, which matters when you're hungry and the beach is right there. The atmosphere rating implies they've figured out lighting and music, not just location. If you want polished Mexican food and a table where you can see the arch in the distance, this is the move.

Cabo San Lucas

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf & Spa Resort

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach sits on the Pacific side just north of Cabo San Lucas, perched above a cliff where the ocean runs too rough for swimming but the views make up for it. The resort shuttles guests to a calmer beach club down the coast, and most people seem fine with the trade-off — the 4.5 overall rating across 26,000+ reviews holds steady, with cleanliness scoring highest at 4.6 and service matching the overall mark. It's a large property with a full spa, golf access, and multiple pools that cascade down the hillside. Rooms and sleep quality both land at 4.4, which is solid for a resort at this scale. Value comes in at 4.2, suggesting it's priced where you'd expect for the amenities and location. The Pacific-side setting means sunsets are the main event, and the resort leans into that with terraces and dining spaces angled west. If you want calm water steps from your room, this isn't it. If you want space, service, and a dramatic coastline, it delivers.

Cabo San Lucas

Grand Solmar Land's End Resort & Spa

Grand Solmar Land's End sits at the very tip of the Baja Peninsula in Cabo San Lucas, where the Pacific meets the Sea of Cortez. The location rating of 4.9 reflects the reality — you're at the edge of everything, with direct views of the Arch and genuinely private beach access that most Cabo resorts can't offer. The rooms also pull 4.9, and the cleanliness score matches it, which is rare at scale. With over 6,400 reviews holding at 4.8 overall, the service consistency is real. The value score of 4.6 suggests it's priced above mid-tier but doesn't lean into the ultra-luxury premium some neighbors charge. Worth noting: you're on the Pacific side, so the swimming conditions depend on the day. The resort shuttle into downtown Cabo runs regularly if you want the marina scene, but most guests stay put.

Cabo San Lucas

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica sits on the Pacific side just north of Cabo San Lucas, and it's adults-only — which is the whole point. The resort pulled an uncommon 4.7 for cleanliness and holds a 4.6 overall across nearly 9,000 reviews, so the operational consistency is real. Rooms and service both land at 4.5, which is solid for a property at this scale; sleep quality tracks the same, meaning the soundproofing and bedding are holding up. The Pacific side means actual surf and bigger waves — not a swimming beach, but the drama is why you're here. The spa setup is central to the property, and most guests either lean into that or spend the day at the pools. Service moves quickly, and the staff-to-guest ratio shows. It's a quieter alternative to the marina-side chaos, and the value rating at 4.3 suggests you're paying a premium but not an absurd one. If you want adults-only with ocean views that aren't sanitized, this works.

Cabo San Lucas

Rosa Negra Cabo Restaurant

Rosa Negra sits on the Transpeninsular just north of Cabo San Lucas, and the 4.9 rating across 3,000+ reviews tells you it's executing at a level most fine-dining spots never hit. The food scores nearly as high as the atmosphere, which is unusual — usually one eclipses the other. Here the kitchen and the room are both doing the work, and the 4.6 value score suggests you're not just paying for the lighting. The atmosphere rating is perfect, and that tracks with the Latin American theatrical dining Rosa Negra does across its locations — live music, tableside fire, servers who move. It's loud, it's a show, and if you want a quiet anniversary dinner this isn't it. If you want energy and food that holds up under the performance, it works. Fine dining here means you're spending, but the value subrating says people left feeling like the tab made sense.

Cabo San Lucas

Maro's Shrimp House

Maro's Shrimp House is on Calle Miguel Hidalgo in Cabo San Lucas, across from La Dolce. The menu does what the name says — shrimp, prepared about a dozen ways, from garlic and butter to breaded and spicy. The operation is efficient and the portions are generous, which explains the 4.6 on both food and value across more than five thousand reviews. Service runs at 4.7, so the staff keeps pace even when it's full. The atmosphere sits at 4.4, which is fair — this is a working shrimp house, not a scene. You come for the food. The kitchen moves fast, the plates are consistent, and the price point makes it easy to return. If you want shrimp in Cabo without the beachfront markup, this is the answer.
